Gao,Ming
Ming Gao received the Ph.D. degree in physical electronics from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), China, in 2007. His dissertation focused on the process and mechanism of laser-arc hybrid welding. From 2007 to 2009, he was a postdoctoral fellow in the department of Materials and Science Engineering, HUST. He is currently an Associate Professor of Wuhan National Laboratory for Optoelectronics of HUST, China. He has published more than 40 papers, participated in an book titled ‘Hybrid Laser/Arc Welding’, achieved 4 invention patents, won 2 provincial awards, undertaken nearly 10 projects and won more than 10M RMB support from the government and the enterprises of China. His current research interests mainly include laser-material interaction and synergic effects during laser/laser-arc hybrid welding and laser cutting, and the development of laser processing equipment for industrial applications.
