Wang,Mingkui
Brief Bio
Mingkui Wangreceived his B.S. and M.S. in Physical Chemistry from Harbin Institute of Technology in 1999 and 2001, respectively, and Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the Chinese Academy of Sciences (2005, with Prof. Shaojun Dong). In 2005 he joined the group of Prof. Ulrich Stimming as an Alexander von Humboldt Fellow at the Technische Universität München. He then joined Prof. Gra?tzel’s group at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL) as a post-doctoral fellow. Since 2010 he has been a Full Professor at the Wuhan National Lab for Optoelectronics, Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
Research Areas
His research interests include the development of next-generation solar cells and the application of electrochemistry to the elucidation of fundamental phenomena in photonics. His future research goal is to develop ‘efficient and stable solid-state sensitized mesoporous heterojunction solar cells’ and ‘photo-electrochemical studies on visible light induced water splitting’.
