Lu Peixiang
Lu Peixiang, who was born in Jiaxing city, Zhejiang Province in 1965,
is a professor, doctoral supervisor, distinguished professor of Chang
Jiang Scholars of Ministry of Education, an expert of review group for
Mathematical Department of National Natural Science Foundation of China,
member of a council for Chinese Optical Society, member of standing
committee in Hubei Province, and vice-chairman of Wuhan Overseas
Returned Scholars Association. He graduated from Department of Physics,
Peking University in 1987. In 1992, he obtained his doctor’s degree in
Science and Optics from Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics,
Chinese Academy of Science. He worked there after his graduation in
1992 and got promoted as an associate research fellow in 1993. He was
granted a scholarship of Humboldt Foundation and worked in Max Planck
Institute of Quantum Optics from 1995 to 1996; he won a scholarship of
Technology Agency of Japan and worked in Eleetrotechnical Laboratory in
1997; he worked in NTT Research Institute from 1998 to 1999; he was a
visiting research associate in Photon Science Center, Japan Atomic
Energy Research Institute from 2000 to 2002; he was nominated into
“Absorbing Distinguished Foreign Talented People” Program (hundred
Talents Program) by Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2000 and was a
research fellow and doctoral supervisor in Shanghai Institute of Optics
and Fine Mechanics; since June, 2003, he has been the director of
National Key Laboratory for Laser Technology, Huazhong University of
Science and Technology. At present, he is also the headman of
preparatory group of laser science and technical research division of
Wuhan National Laboratory for Optoelectronics.
Since 1987, he has been engaged in testing and theoretical research on
laser technology and its interaction with substances. He published over
200 research papers on domestic and foreign academic journals such as
Phys. Rev. Lett.,Phys. Rev., Opt. Lett.,Opt. Express, Appl. Phys. Lett.,
where over 160 papers were included by SCI. His papers were quoted over
600 times by SCI. At present, he is undertaking 973 Program, Natural
Science Foundation of China, National Major Special Programs, Ph.D.
Programs Foundation and Provincial Foundation etc.
Main research fields: 1. Ultra-fast light source driven by femtosecond
laser and its application in ultra-fast detection; 2. Study on
micromachining of femtosecond laser and photoelectric device
manufacturing; 3. Producing photoelectric thin-film material with pulse
laser and its ultra-fast phenomenon; 4. Extreme ultra violet lithography
light source; 5. Fiber laser technology.
